Langmeil The Freedom 1843 Shiraz
Langmeil is home to The Freedom Shiraz vineyard, which was probably planted in 1843 by vigneron Christian Auricht. Escaping war and persecution in Prussia, Auricht travelled to his new homeland, finding freedom in the Barossa Valley. His original plantings survive to this day and at 170 years old are some of the oldest and rarest vines in the world.
The Lindner family of Langmeil Winery has been immersed in the Barossa's culture of farming, food, wine and community for six generations. Their commitment to quality in all aspects is unwavering and any wine that bears the Langmeil name represents the family's pursuit of excellence in wine and community.
